Four thoughts with Droupla A. Tcheuny
To establish a correct
understanding within each phase of the preliminary
practices, it is necessary to receive the
instructions appropriate to each.
The application of the
preliminaries of the Vajrayana School, allows
us to establish true faith and motivation
in our possibility to bring the experiences
of our life on the path of enlightenment.
The first part of these
preliminaries is the four thoughts which
distract the mind from Samsara: the invaluable
human existence, Death and impermanence,
the law of Karma the defective nature of
Samsara.
Using instructions and
exchanges, Droupla A. Tcheuny will guide
sessions dedicated to these four thoughts.

The four points of awareness with Lama Dordjé
Puntso
The mind is confused and
generates suffering and dissatisfaction.
Only meditation based on a truthful vision,
arisen from listening and from reflection,
can free the mind from this way of functioning.
Awareness is the heart
of the meditation and as so to develop it,
the Buddha defined four essential supports:
the body, sensations, the mind and its phenomena.
These progressive meditations allow to explore
ones body, mind and the functioning of the
mind, using breathing as common support.

Refuge
& Prostrations
The
preliminary practices are the bases and
the valuable foundation of the ultimate
path of meditation.
In
the first preliminary practice which includes
the refuge and the development of the awakening
of the mind, we honour the three jewels
that represent the Buddha, the Dharma and
the Sangha.
We
open to their benediction through the offering
of the body by prostrations, of speech by
the recitation of the refuge prayer and
of the mind by the attitude of respect and
devotion which we develop during the practice.

Dordje Sempa with Lama Sönam
The
preliminary practices are the base and the
indispensable foundation of the ultimate
path of meditation. The practice of Dordje
Sempa is one of the preliminary practices.
The
mantra of hundred syllables can be accumulated
without limit, nevertheless, within the
preliminary practices 111 111 recitals must
be made.
Dordje
Sempa, the Buddha of purification, shows
the pure and perpetual nature of the mind.
The various meditations practiced in Buddhism
all have the same purpose : to recognise
the nature of the mind.
It's
the same with the meditation of Dordje Sempa,
whose purpose is to deeply cleanse the negativities
and karmic veils, which cover the essence
of wisdom present in each one of us.
